A HOLY REMNANT IS BORN – Pastor David Wilkerson

I am a Christian. A devoted Christ follower.

As far as which ‘denominational camp’ I identify with, (and I don’t like labels), the best I can tell you is that I am a conservative, reformed, evangelical, protestant, and that still doesn’t tell it all.

Some will ask, ‘are you a Calvinist or an Armenian’ in your views?’, to which, if forced to answer, I would say from ’50 – 50′ to zero. (And, I am not a fence sitter.)

What I do believe: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, And sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The Holy universal Church, the Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body, and the Life everlasting.

With all of this said, If asked, ‘do you believe in miracles’, my answer is ‘I believe in Jesus, the worker of miracles. And if He performs a miracle, I believe it! Both then and now’. (Although I do not identify with the Pentecostal Movement, the Charismatic movement and certainly not the Word of Faith movement, I do believe that each have offered something of value, each have offered something of value to Christianity, in their own way. But I also believe each have veered away from the final teachings of Jesus, in significant ways – the most egregious is the over-emphasis of spiritual gifts as used by a believer.)

NOTWITHSTANDING, I believe that pastor David Wilkerson was one of the few true late-day prophets in this world. He was a brave and bold, yet humble, pastor, preacher, and Bible teacher. He was a good father, a good husband and a good man.
