“NOW THEREFORE, ARISE”
America is under siege. Our land has been invaded and is being pulled apart, thread by thread. And we watch and lament, but, do nothing.
Our laws are being ignored and violated. Our constitution is being abrogated. The enemy within is brazenly calling for the dissolution of our borders and our sovereignty. Morality, decency, justice, rationality are being trampled under foot. And we do nothing.
Godless atheism through communism and socialism is the banner being raised in our schools and colleges and we allow our children to be indoctrinated into this evil thought. And we do nothing.
WE THE PEOPLE must once again hear the words God proclaimed to Joshua,
“NOW THEREFORE, ARISE “
and speak out against injustice, lawlessness and hypocrisy
These words and ideas were proclaimed by Jesus against the religious rulers of the His day. But, they are eerily reminiscent and applicable to the political and many religious leaders in America today.
- Our so-called leaders, preach, but do not practice. 4They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger.
- They do all their deeds to be seen by others. “But woe to you, hypocrites!
- “Woe to you, blind guides, You blind fools! You blind men!”
- Woe to you, who have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!
- Woe to you, for you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
- You are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness. 28So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
- God has sent you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog… and persecute from town to town, so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous.
- Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
“NOW THEREFORE, ARISE”
and let’s reclaim this land given to us by God
Listen to the words of Paul, the Apostle:
2 Corinthians 10:3 “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.”
- If the extent of our warfare is words alone, have lost this war.
- If we use the methods of human rationality and human reasoning propagated by political means alone, we have lost this war.
- What is seen, comes from strongholds which are not seen with the eye. We have the divine power and authority to destroy the strongholds of our enemies, and if we neglect this authority, have lost this war.
- We have the divine power available to us to destroy arguments and lofty opinions of our enemies, raised against the knowledge of God.
- We have the divine power available to us to take every thought captive to obey Christ.
- Now, we must be completely obedient, and punish every disobedience.
“NOW THEREFORE, ARISE”
We must Rise up
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inb the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” “
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
Let’s Carry this fight to the enemy IN HIS NAME

(PS – Before anyone challenges this post, please know that I know the context of 2 Corinthians 10:3. However, it is just as applicable for the 21st century Christian, as we defend the authority given us by Jesus Christ.)
