Have you ever been in one place thinking that things were as you see them only to find out that things are much different than you thought? Perhaps you were deceived, or perhaps you simply misunderstood what was actually going on? Then, on closer inspection you realize that both were true – you were misled, and you did not see it coming because you missed the signs of deception. Now you realize the trouble facing you, and you may be confused, hurt and maybe even angry. Just settle down. Maybe it’s time for a REALITY CHECK.
On such man, Del Tackett, was awakened to the fact that a monumental deception was taking place and the dangers lurking behind this deception could be catastrophic. Catastrophic for the Church in America, for each and every Christian and for religious liberty at large.
Dr. Del Tackett is known for being the chief spokesperson for Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project, a series aimed at instilling a Christian worldview. He has challenged the twenty-first century Biblical worldview as having become tepid and compromised. An admixture of secularism, a biased secular-scientific view on creation and religion, artificial intelligence-based fantasies and outright lies. This deception, these lies, have been a directed and concerted effort by social and political Leftists, Socialists, Marxists, Communists, hedonistic-atheists all.
One of Del’s more notable challenges is rooted in the question, “What is Truth?”, knowing that revealing the Truth is much more effective just than challenging a lie. (This is the same question Pontius Pilate asked Jesus when Jesus said, “I have come into the world to testify to the Truth. Everyone who listens to My Voice is of the Truth.”) The implication is that truth is only found in the Person of Christ Jesus – in God’s Word; and is being largely ignored, twisted and denigrated by the secular world.
The thesis presented is that if any part of the scriptures is not true, then none of them are true. Therefore, what the Bible tells us – and by the way, with frightening prophetic accuracy – is Truth, but is being ignored by most this world’s leaders and to humanity’s great harm and ultimate destruction.
It is time, at least for the Church – that is every Christian – to take an assessment, a reality check, and where necessary, correct their course, for the End of the Age may be more literal and nearer than you think. And we have an integral part and an important role to play.
