So, how close might we be to the End of the Age?
The bible tells us in Matthew 24:31 that we cannot know the day nor the hour. But, we can know the SEASON and we must prepare now and stay prepared for what is coming.
“And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
32 ¶ “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near;
33 so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.
34 “Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
35 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
Here are some ‘clues’ from the Bible that can help us in our preparation. These are important to all of us. Please consider each one, carefully:
#1 Clue: Jesus responds to His disciples question
“Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
This tells us that this is an event in the future. A precursory event occured and the final event is yet to come. This is why Jesus is telling His disciples this in answer to thier questions.
And to confirm it is a FUTURE event, in Matthew 24:24, Jesus says “Behold, I have told you in advance.”
#2 Clue: Immediately after the tribulation (small “t”) of those days, there will be signs in the sky which will preceed Jesus’ appearing in the sky, then comes the sound of A GREAT TRUMPET and the GATHERING TOGETHER of His elect (from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other).

#3 Clue: The events and signs described in Matthew 24:29, 30 and 31 are confirmed as the breaking of the SIXTH SEAL in Revelation 6.
Rev 6:12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;
13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.
14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;
16 and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
1 ¶ After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.
#4 Clue: “The day of the Lord” won’t occur until the APOSTASY comes first.

#5 Clue: “The day of the Lord” won’t occur until the MAN OF LAWLESSNESS is revealed.
2 Thessalonians 2:1 ¶ Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,
2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
3 ¶ Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?
6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.
8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
