¶ “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira” Revelation 2:18
Homosexual ordained as clergy, homosexual marriages in he church, legalized abortion, false gods being promoted in government, persecution and marginalization of Christianity, much of the Bible being portrayed as “hate speech”, removal of Jehovah God from public view, abandonment of Israel as a friend, govenment take-over of religion in order to replace God as our provider. And, most of the American churches are silent or if they do speak it is followed by inaction. They stand idly by while the atrocities continue.
The church busys itself finding better management styles, creative ways to entertain in order to “draw a crowd for Jesus”. It searches for a “middle-ground sermons” so not to offend. They draw the curious, promote ecclesiastical harmony, preach a partial gospel, and deny the POWER of the Cross of Jesus Christ – The Gospel!
This article is inspired by today’s news. But the tipping point for this post, is an advertisement I saw about two lesbians being ordained in the Presbyterian ‘church’, followed by a commentary by Bret Hume on Planned Parenthood’s selling baby’s body parts of innocent babies who have been murdered-by-abortion.
Deception is a weapon and a tool of the devil and Institutional deception is most powerful and powerfully persuasive. See this clip as a reminder what is being taught in by many and in many ‘churches’ in place of the Gospel or as an addendum to the Gospel
“WHAT IS THIS STRANGE NEW GOSPEL?”
The message in Revelation 2:18 – 29 addressed to the church at Thyatira could certainly be applied to most churches in America, today.
Here is an shortened but ‘in depth’ bible study on these verses. Please read, and note that I have inserted the translations of certain words from the biblical Greek to english from Strong’s bible concordance. Read the Bible verse and text in red, then read the inserted translation of the text or words in blue for a clearer and more background on the verse, an exact definition and a clearer translation, and a better understanding of what God is saying for a more (frightening and ) a clearer meaning:
Revelation 2:18 ¶ “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira
(Thyatira translates: “odor of affliction”)
write: The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze, says this:
‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel.

Jezebel was an impious and cruel queen who protected idolatry and persecuted the prophets.

It is the symbolic name of a woman who pretended to be a prophetess, and who, addicted to antinomianism,

which in Christianity, is one who takes the principle of salvation by faith and divine grace to the point of asserting that the saved are not bound to follow moral laws.

Jezebel claimed Christian liberty of eating things sacrificed to idols, who calls herself a prophetess, and

She teaches and leads God’s bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.

23 ‘And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
24 ‘But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them — I place no other burden on you.
25 ‘Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come.
26 ‘He who overcomes

and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS;

Attend carefully to the Bible and know The Truth. Be “Berean”.: Study and pray. Ask the Holy Spirit for understanding and discernment. Reject ‘new revelations’ and any new or modern teachings of the Oracles of God (The Bible).
Jesus warns about false messiahs (Matthew 24:4 ¶ And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.”)
