GLOBALISM – MARXISM – Agenda 2030, Episode 2 of The Series

My previous article explained how the Globalist-Marxist United Nations endeavors to use terms, phrases and a style of language acceptable to everyone and offensive to no one in order to hide their true agenda and the nefarious methods to be employed.

Here is another example from an excerpt from U.S. Aid.Gov: The Biden-Harris Administration’s Request is a reflection of the critical importance of development and humanitarian assistance in advancing US interests around the world. This Budget will advance USAID efforts to: Combat Climate Change, Advance Democratic Values, Address the Root Causes of Irregular Migration, Strengthen Global Health Leadership, Bolster Humanitarian Assistance, Expand Inclusive Economic Growth, Improve Resilience and Security, Invest in Our People, and Restore Support for Key National Security Partners and Advance Peace in accordance with the Interim National Security Strategy Guidance.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PRESIDENT’S DISCRETIONARY FUNDING REQUEST

Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 President’s Budget Request For The United States Agency For International Development (USAID).

COMBATS CLIMATE CHANGE”

  • Increases USAID Bilateral Climate Change Programming to more than $600 million, to dramatically expand the scale and geographic reach of USAID’s programs to combat climate change, including through investments in adaptation and resilience, renewable energy, and sustainable landscapes.
  • Builds on USAID’s comparative advantage when implementing climate change programming by leveraging relationships at the local level and supporting partner countries’ ability to achieve their Nationally Determined Contributions and implement National Adaptation Plans and priorities.
  • Generates creative solutions to encourage policy innovation and strengthen partner country capacity to accelerate breakthroughs in technologies and practices that promote climate resilience, carbon capture and storage, advanced energy systems, and maximize resource efficiency.
  • Expands climate change adaptation programming and policy leadership for USAID globally, including access to weather and climate information, science and analysis for improved decision-making.”

On the surface, what could possibly be wrong with the Biden-Harris Administration’s Request to tax the average American family for U.S. Aid to be spent abroad?

FIRST, The President’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Budget Request for the State Department and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is $58.5 billion. That is FIFTY-EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS of your tax money spent overseas on Marxists planned, directed and initiated goals. Goals that are designed to complete, establish and entrench a One World Governing Body which will absorb the sovereignty of the United States of America.

SECONDLY – If you doubt that the U.S. Government, our government, has jumped on board with the One World Marxist Government push, just compare the United Nations pictorial of Agenda 2030 and the U.S. pictorial of the same (I have hyper-linked the images to the websites):

United States Sustainable Development Goals:

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

The foregoing are the goals of the Globalist-Marxists, which will give them complete authority over everything that affects and concerns you, from cradle to grave.

THIRDLY – Please note, from the image below here, the Biden administration 2022 U.S. budget proposals which total Six Trillion dollars. This, of course, is a back-breaker for the U.S. Citizen who works for and earns a living. YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS IN TAX INCREASES. But, the long-term goal of budgets like this is to collapse the U.S. economy and bankrupt the Treasury, which will create the crisis needed to weaken the U.S. sufficiently in order to move her into a One World Confederation.

It takes a patient and careful reading of the budgetary goals to realize that each department and has been equipped and directed to re-educate, retrain and indoctrinate our children in the ways of Marxist thought and doctrines, (Critical Race Theory, Socialist economic theory, Marxist ideologies, etc.), through the U.S. Department of Education and our citizenry through social engineering and social programs.

GLOBALISM – Agenda 2030, Episode 3 of The Series

THE GREAT RESET

A slick and powerful, multifaceted global government propaganda cabal, is pushing THE SOCIALIST AGENDA ACROSS THE GLOBE.

The United Nations has been at work over the last thirty-five years, quietly and surreptitiously assembling a global organization and network with an agenda. It was named the Agenda 21, the twenty-one designating their goal to fully implement their global plans in the 21st century.

Produced by the United Nations World Commission on Environmental and Development, authored by Gro Harlem Brundtland, VP of the World Socialist Party, the term Sustainable Development was first introduced to the world in the pages of a 1987 report (Our Common Future).

The term was first offered as official U.N. policy in 1992, in a document called UN Sustainable Development Agenda 21, issued at the U.N.’s Earth Summit, today referred to simply as Agenda 21.

The full implementation of Agenda 21, the Program for Further Implementation of Agenda 21 and the Commitments to the Rio principles, were strongly reaffirmed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (W.S.S.D.) held in Johannesburg, South Africa from 26 August to 4 September 2002.  The actual and basic goals of the United Nation’s Agentda-21 and the W.S.S.D are hidden behind the stated goals of, which will be reaffirmed at a world summit in 2022, and Agenda 2030 was inaugurated, which set the date for the Globalist-Marxist Great Reset, and world domination. (No, this is not science fiction.)

The Capitalist, Published June 26, 2020 (Excerpt)

“Quietly, while the coronavirus pandemic distracted the world, a group of liberal “key global governmental and business leaders” met in Switzerland and planned the next coup d’etat to take over the global economy. Many call it The Great Reset. It also means “dangerous times for those who support individual liberties and free markets.”

The World Economic Forum will hold a summit next year to further their initiative. According to them, “The Great Reset is a commitment to jointly and urgently build the foundations of our economic and social system for a more fair, sustainable and resilient future. It requires a new social contract centered on human dignity, social justice and where societal progress does not fall behind economic development.”

“What it is really trying to accomplish is using the coronavirus pandemic as a cover. They’re aiming for a renewed push for Socialism and climate change initiatives.”

The World Economic Forum and the United Nations signed a Strategic Partnership Framework, June 13, 2019, outlining areas of cooperation to deepen institutional engagement and jointly accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The framework was drafted based on a mapping of existing collaboration between the two institutions and will enable a more strategic and coordinated approach towards delivering impact.

The UN-Forum Partnership was signed in a meeting held at United Nations headquarters between UN Secretary-General António Guterres and World Economic Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.

U.N. BACKED “GREAT RESET” TO USHER IN NEW WORLD ORDER

THE NEW AMERICAN, The New American – Europe; UN-Backed “Great Reset” to Usher in New World Order, July 15, 2020, Alex Newman, (Excerpt)

“Get ready for a lot less freedom and prosperity, and a lot more government — at least if the elites get their way.  After peddling coronavirus lockdowns that crushed the economy and funding riots that terrorized the public under the guise of fighting “systemic racism,” Deep State globalists are stepping in to offer their proposed “solution” to the crises they themselves unleashed: A “Great Reset” to transform the world and everything in it, supposedly for the benefit of the masses, but really for the benefit of the ruling classes.

“Top leaders of Big Business, Big Globalism, and Big Government worldwide — including royalty and mass-murdering communist tyrants — are jumping on the bandwagon. But even before the scheme is fully outlined and understood, resistance is growing quickly.

“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” added Schwab, calling for even “stronger and more effective” government. “We must build entirely new foundations for our economic and social systems.” And there is no other choice but to submit, he and others declared.”

“In short, what remains of the tattered free-market system is set to be tossed out — along with the vibrant middle class it sustained. In its place will rise technocratic governance based on nebulous “social” and “environmental” goals set by the technocrats.”

INTRODUCING THE ‘GREAT RESET’ – A VIDEO BY HILLSDALE COLLEGE

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS VIDEO IS A “MUST-WATCH”

“World leaders’ radical plan to transform the economy“, by Justin Haskins – Beating Back the Great Reset.

“For decades, progressives have attempted to use climate change to justify liberal policy changes. But their latest attempt – a new proposal called the “Great Reset” – is the most ambitious and radical plan the world has seen in more than a generation.

“At a virtual meeting earlier in June hosted by the World Economic Forum, some of the planet’s most powerful business leaders, government officials and activists announced a proposal to “reset” the global economy. Instead of traditional capitalism, the high-profile group said the world should adopt more socialistic policies, such as wealth taxes, additional regulations and massive Green New Deal-like government programs.

“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” wrote Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, in an article published on World Economic Forum’s website. “In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.

“Although many details about the Great Reset won’t be rolled out until the World Economic Forum meets in Davos in January 2021, the general principles of the plan are clear: The world needs massive new government programs and far-reaching policies comparable to those offered by American socialists such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) in their Green New Deal plan.

“Or, put another way, we need a form of socialism – a word the World Economic Forum has deliberately avoided using, all while calling for countless socialist and progressive plans.”

OK?  Now you have an idea of what the Coronavirus pandemic is really all about.  Now you know what the GREAT RESET is all about.  The question remains is, “what can we do about it?

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN – Part 11

(You can listen to this study by audio, and you can pause the audio to follow page links, then resume when you are ready. Please note that I use page links in lieu of references or footnotes for important details of this teaching.)

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN– Part 11

John 1:19-23, says, This is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites to him from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” And he confessed and did not deny; and this is what he confessed: “I am not the Christ.” And so they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” And he said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” Then they said to him, “Who are you? Tell us, so that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” He said, “I am THE VOICE OF ONE CALLING OUT IN THE WILDERNESS, ‘MAKE THE WAY OF THE LORD STRAIGHT,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”

We learn two things about John and learn two major lessons as he continues to testify about the Messiah, Jesus. One is that John is establishing a pattern of witnessing about Jesus. John establishes that there is nothing about himself that is worthy of mention ahead of the name of God. He establishes that this is not about him; he is not the Christ, nor is he Elijah or the Prophet. He is simply “the voice of one calling out in the wilderness”.

Why is this important? Because the focus should be on Jesus Christ, alone. Too many of our postmodern Church leaders are quick to point out their own achievements, accomplishments, titles, credentials and status. They may not always be overt about it, but, it is made clear through their inferences and attitudes. John is plainly and simply focused on “Making straight the way of the Lord”. This is our pattern.

Philippians 2:5-7, tells us to, “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant…”. This is our pattern.

Additionally, when you effectively witness about Christ, in one fashion or another, people will want to know, “What do you say about yourself?”, just as the priests and the Levites said to John. In other words, people may want to know where you get the authority to say such things? John points out that he has no authority of his own and that he is repeating what the Bible and the prophet before him has said. Just as Jesus told Satan as recorded in Matthew 4:4, ““It is written: ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT COMES OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’” This is our pattern.

John confesses that he is, ”THE VOICE OF ONE CALLING OUT IN THE WILDERNESS, ‘MAKE THE WAY OF THE LORD STRAIGHT,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”

The words and prophecy of Isaiah are in the mind of John. In order to fully understand what John is saying, let’s read the words of Isaiah:

Isaiah 40:3, “The voice of one calling out, “Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Verse 4.. “Let every valley be lifted up, And every mountain and hill be made low;

And let the uneven ground become a plain, And the rugged terrain a broad valley;

Verse 5. Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, And all flesh will see it together; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Verse 6. A voice says, “Call out.” Then he answered, “What shall I call out?”

All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.

Verse 7. The grass withers, the flower fades, When the breath of the LORD blows upon it; The people are indeed grass!

Verse 8. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.

Verse 9. Go up on a high mountain, Zion, messenger of good news, Raise your voice forcefully, Jerusalem, messenger of good news; Raise it up, do not fear. Say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!”

Verse 10. Behold, the Lord GOD will come with might, With His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His compensation is with Him, And His reward before Him.

Verse 11. Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs And carry them in the fold of His robe; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.”

This is our testimony and our confession, and this is our pattern. Let’s go, tell this Good News!

MARXISM – The United Nations – The American Democrat Party

(You can listen by audio; pause the audio to follow page links, then, when you are ready, resume the audio. Please note: I use page links in lieu of footnotes and references.)

Globalist-Marxists are known to be the driving force and top echelon of the United Nations as well as controlling the Democrat Party in America. They and their various adherents and factions around the world say that humankind is responsible for destroying the earth by depleting our natural resources and by polluting the land, the seas, lakes and streams and the air. There is no truth to these claims. It is a political ploy, a lie. Yet the Globalist cabal say it is factual and that they have the solution. It is seductively named “The Agenda for Sustainable Development”.

It began under the name of “Agenda 21”. The Twenty-one is a designation for ‘the 21st century”. Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment. The Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) was created in December 1992 to ensure effective follow-up of UNCED, to monitor and report on implementation of the agreements at the local, national, regional and international levels. It was agreed that a five year review of Earth Summit progress would be made in 1997 by the United Nations General Assembly meeting in special session.

The Newest name for this United Nations organization is ‘Agenda 2030’. ‘Twenty-thirty’ designates the year their goals of Global domination will be completed.

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.

The Preamble of the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” (Agenda 2030) says, in part:

This Agenda is a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom. We recognize that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. All countries and all stakeholders, acting in collaborative partnership, will implement this plan. We are resolved to free the human race from the tyranny of poverty and want and to heal and secure our planet. We are determined to take the bold and transformative steps which are urgently needed to shift the world onto a sustainable and resilient path. As we embark on this collective journey, we pledge that no one will be left behind. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets which we are announcing today demonstrate the scale and ambition of this new universal Agenda. They seek to build on the Millennium Development Goals and complete what these did not achieve. They seek to realize the human rights of all and to achieve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. They are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic, social and environmental.

The Goals and targets will stimulate action over the next fifteen years in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet:

We are determined to protect the planet from degradation, including through sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources and taking urgent action on climate change, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations.

Who would not want to achieve these goals and live in such a Utopian world? Beware. The goals are lofty, but, the methodologies, the implementation and the governing of the world they describe can be likened to the gulags of Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin, the reign of terror imposed on China by the notorious Mao Zedong or the racist Hegelian, Karl Marx’s nefarious social construct of Marxism which is responsible for the deaths of upward of 200,000,000 people. They, all, used the same Siren’s song the United Nations is using now, to lure hundreds of millions into the webs of Agenda 2030.

On the subject of ‘climate change’, a simple line of reasoning will help you undo that lie of the Left. Ask yourself, “Do we have air pollution because of industry and technologies?” The answer is, ‘yes’. But, the earth has created far more air pollution on its own from volcanic activity, release of CH4 by paddy fields and cattle, release of CO by plants and animals, emission of natural gas, O3, nitrogen oxides, cosmic rays, UV-rays etc.

So, why the global outcry about ‘climate change’. It has been found to be an effective  narrative for the political goals of the Global-Marxist movement. No one can deny our climate is changing. The climate has been changing for millennia. It has never been stable.

But the Globalist-Marxist have convinced enough of the naive among the earth’s population to believe that suddenly, our fluctuating climate, is our doom. It is all a grand scheme of deception. Behind the cloak and grandeur of lies of Marxism.

About one-half of the world’s population has fallen for this lie. The poor of the world would see the opportunity to take from other countries what their failed systems and corrupted leadership has withheld from them while living lavish lifestyles.

The educated wealthy, the powerful and elitist of the Left are being motivated to ‘join the Globalist’s cause’ through promises of being further empowered and enriched. They will sit atop a One World Government with control over global finances, natural resources, food production, industry, technology, job creation, social constructs and anything that concerns the earth’s population.

I will endeavor to take one item at a time from the Agenda 2030 , in the weeks to come, and expose the lies.

(A note to America: The Globalist in your country, at the highest levels of your government,  are presently destroying your families structures, perverting your sense of morality, dismantling your legal systems, draining your treasury, corrupting your Constitution while staging the greatest coup d’etat the world has ever seen. If you don’t rise up, quickly and forcefully, you will perish as a sovereign nation. In fact, it may already be too late.)

ENDURE TO THE END

(You can listen to this audio as you read along, and, you can pause the audio to follow links, then resume audio when you are ready.)

square-peg.jpg

“The one who endures to the end, he will be saved” – Jesus, Matthew 24:13

Are you ever puzzled by some things Jesus says?

Jesus says again, in Matthew 10:22, “You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.”

I have recently had some lively discussions about the meaning and implications of what JESUS said when telling His disciples about His coming and the end of the world. (Matthew 24)

Jesus tells His disciples they will face many trials, challenges, persecutions and even martyrdom. Many Christians will suffer tribulation just before His return and the end of the age.

He warns us that it is the one who ENDURES TO THE END, is he who will be saved”.

Jesus’ plain words should be enough. So, why the puzzle? Why the controversy?

I believe there is controversy because many people, including many of my friends and acquaintances, jump to these conclusions:

1. Many jump to the conclusion that Jesus is NOT saying “You can lose your salvation” (And this can make them very angry because this view does not fit their religious doctrine of “eternal security”) And, they are very adamant!

2. Many others jump to the conclusion that Jesus is saying that you CAN lose your salvation”. These folks say, “SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!!! (And this view makes them resolute because this DOES fit their religious doctrine.) And, they are very adamant!

3. While some jump to the conclusion that Jesus is saying it’s all about maturing in your faith, probably in an attempt to avoid controversy.

4. And yet, others say that they just don’t know what He means.

I have read many commentaries on these verses, and although these are studied opinions, most are a jumble of opinions based on denominational and religious doctrines.

Perhaps we are just asking the wrong questions?

Many theologians and bible teachers will hammer the pieces of this puzzle into place, to fit their religious doctrines, whether they fit or not.

These verses are very important to the believer. Ask yourself,

    • Does one perish if he or she does not “endure to the end”?
    • And, what is it we should ENDURE?
    • What END is it that I am to endure to?
    • What will I be SAVED to or from?
    • Why does it matter?

Believe me when I say that Jesus was clear. He has more to say on this matter in His discourse, found in Chapter 24 of Matthew. He gives grave warnings about enduring and being ready for His Return and the End of the Age.

The most important thing about correctly understanding scriptures and the Words of Jesus, is this:

Romans 1:16-17, tells us that, The gospel, is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”

    • You cannot experience the power of God, and
    • You cannot experience the righteousness of God, and
    • You cannot LIVE BY FAITH
    • If You do not possess and believe the entire Word of God.

Want to know more? This is important because it affects how YOU respond to Jesus’ command to BE READY for “His coming, and of the end of the age”.

If so, then let’s first get these verses in CONTEXT, and then we will look at the wording from the original language:

Matthew 24:3 says, As He (Jesus) was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age”?

Verse 4. “And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you.

Verse 5 . “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.

Verse 6. “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.

Verse 7. “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.

Verse 8. “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.

Verse 9. “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

Verse 10. “At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.

Verse 11. “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

Verse 12. “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.

Verse 13. “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

THE CONTEXT

“The one who endures to the end, he will be saved” refers to Jesus’ coming, and of the end of the age.

THE WORDS

Now, let’s take a closer look at the words Jesus used to tech His disciples:

Endures: Strong’s concordance #5278, hupomeno, also from Strong’s concordance, #5259 and #3306 = endure, take patiently, tarry behind, abide, suffer 1.

1) to remain

1a) to tarry behind

2) to remain i.e. abide, not recede or flee

2a) to preserve: under misfortunes and trials to hold fast to one’s faith in Christ

2b) to endure, bear bravely and calmly: ill treatments

It is in the ‘aorist tense’ which is characterized by its emphasis on punctiliar action; that is, the concept of the verb is considered without regard for past, present, or future time.

IN OTHER WORDS: “The one who HAS ENDURED, IS ENDURING and CONTINUES ENDURING to the end, he will be saved” in relation to “the sign of Jesus’ coming, and of the end of the age”

End: Strong’s concordance #5056 = telos = to set out for a definite point or goal; the end, the uttermost, finally.

1) end

1a) termination, the limit at which a thing ceases to be (always of the end of some act or state, but not of the end of a period of time)

1b) the end

1b1) the last in any succession or series

1b2) eternal

1c) that by which a thing is finished, its close, issue

1d) the end to which all things relate, the aim, purpose

IN OTHER WORDS: “The one who has endured, is enduring and continues enduring TO THE END, of “the signs of Jesus’ coming, and of the end of the age” he will be saved”.

SAVED: Strong’s concordance #4982 = sozo = safe, save, make whole, heal, be whole.

1) to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction

1a) one (from injury or peril)

1a1) to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health

1b1) to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue

1b) to save in the technical biblical sense

1b1) negatively

1b1a) to deliver from the penalties of the Messianic judgment

1b1b) to save from the evils which obstruct the reception of the Messianic deliverance

IN OTHER WORDS: “THE ONES who have ENDURED, are enduring and continue enduring TO THE END of “the signs of Jesus’ coming, and of the end of the age”, HE “THIS SAME ONE, THESE SAME ONES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, will BE SAVED, from perishing, saved in the biblical sense, delivered from the penalties of the Messianic judgment; saved from the evils which obstruct the reception of the Messianic deliverance”.

In JESUS’ Words: “The one who endures to the end, he will be saved” – PERIOD.

We must GET READY, BE READY and STAY READY and endure to the end.

Whether you believe

  • you can lose your salvation, or you believe
  • you cannot lose your salvation, or you believe that maybe
  • you were never saved in the first place, or you think this is about
  • you’re maturing in your faith or
  • you just don’t know

One thing you better know is that you must

1. Get Ready – Make Jesus your Lord and Savior.

2. You can only come to God and be saved by His Grace and by your faith, believing that

3. Jesus died for your sins and that

4. God raised Him up from the grave after three days in the tomb,

5. Jesus saves you from your sins and

6. Jesus saves you from perishing (going to eternal torment in hell)

7. Jesus has forgiven you and given you a new life of hope, promise

8. The one who endures to the end, he will be saved” – Jesus, Matthew 24:13

In support of enduring to the end, The Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day;and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7 – 8

Jesus said, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

No man or woman can determine your salvation in Christ. Only God, alone, knows. But, unless you ENDURE TO THE END, you will know you whether you have finished the race and will be welcomed into His Waiting Arms.

Keep on Enduring! Let’s Walk by the Spirit, let’s not grow weary, let’s finish the race, let’s endure to the end.

REVELATION 12 – The Flood, The Woman, The Dragon, The Child

Revelation 12:1-17 seems out of place in the account of The End of Days, The Tribulation and God’s Judgments. But, it is important to understand the events described in Revelation 12, 13, and 14 as a recap, and a panorama of God’s Plan of salvation for the world from a “Heavenly Perspective”.

The scenario in Revelation, chapter 12, begins with Israel, the Christ child and Satan’s failed attempt to destroy this, child, the Son of God. It culminates with Jesus’ victorious war over the Evil one.

Revelation 12:13, says, “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

Verse 14. “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Verse 15. “And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

Verse 16. “And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Verse 17. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Revelation, chapter 12, starts with the words, “Now a great sign appeared”: This is the first of seven signs that John relates, and is described as a “great sign”, (“mega semeion”, from the Greek language).

Revelation chapters 12, 13, and 14 the main figures of the Great Tribulation are described, and this great sign introduces the first of the seven.

  1. The woman, representing Israel.
  2. The dragon, representing Satan.
  3. The man-child, referring to Jesus.
  4. The angel Michael, head of the angelic host.
  5. The offspring of the woman, representing Gentiles who come to faith in the Tribulation.
  6. The beast out of the sea, representing the antichrist.
  7. The beast out of the earth, representing the false prophet who promotes the antichrist.

Knowing and understanding “The Flood” in Revelation 12 will help you know the urgency of the day in which you live, why you need to get ready for His Return and that it is now time.

DANIEL 9 – The 70 Weeks

The “seventy weeks” prophecy, found in Daniel 9 begins with Daniel praying for Israel, acknowledging the nation’s sins against God and asking for God’s mercy. As Daniel prayed, the angel Gabriel appeared to him and gave him a vision of Israel’s future. In verse 24, Gabriel says, “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city.”  The seventy “sevens” should be understood as seventy “weeks” of years, in other words, a period of 490 years. These verses provide a “timeline” that gives us an idea of when the Messiah would come and some of the events that would accompany His appearance.

IF YOU UNDERSTAND “DANIEL’S SEVENTY WEEKS”, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE IN THE FINAL DAYS OF THE FINAL WEEK BEFORE JESUS RETURNS, USHERING IN THE “GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD”.

WE MUST BE READY The prophecy divides the 490 years into three smaller units:

  • one of 49 years,
  • one of 434 years, and
  • one 7 years.
    • The final “week” of 7 years is further divided in half.

Verse 25 says, “From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be

  • seven ‘sevens,’ and
  • sixty-two ‘sevens.’ ”
    • (Seven “sevens” is 49 years, and sixty-two “sevens” is another 434 years: 49 years + 434 years = 483 years

The Purpose of the 70 Weeks (i.e., the 490 years) The prophecy contains a statement concerning God’s six-fold purpose in bringing these events to pass: Verse 24 says this purpose is: 1) “to finish transgression,” (that is, to end man’s rebellion toward God) 2) “to put an end to sin,” (that is, to bring an end to sin) 3) “to atone for wickedness,” (that is, to make amends or reparation for wickedness) 4) “to bring in everlasting righteousness,” (that is, the quality of being morally right or justifiable) 5) “to seal up vision and prophecy,” and (that is, to confirm these prophetic visions) 6) “to anoint the most holy.” (that is, to anoint, or to confer divine or holy office upon; in this case the Holy One, Jesus.) Notice that the results of this six-fold purpose concerns the total eradication of sin and the establishing of righteousness. The prophecy of the 70 weeks summarizes what happens before Jesus sets up His millennial kingdom. *Of special note is the third in the list of results: “to atone for wickedness.” Jesus accomplished the atonement for sin by His death on the cross (Romans 3:25; Hebrews 2:17). The Fulfillment of the 70 Weeks *Gabriel said the prophetic clock would start at the time that a decree was issued to rebuild Jerusalem. From the date of that decree to the time of the Messiah would be 483 years.

  • We know from history that the command to “restore and rebuild Jerusalem” was given by King Artaxerxes of Persia c. 445 B.C. (see Nehemiah 2:1-8).
  • The first unit of 49 years (seven “sevens”) covers the time that it took to rebuild Jerusalem, “with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble” (Daniel 9:25). This rebuilding is chronicled in the book of Nehemiah.
  • Using the Jewish custom of a 360-day year, 483 years after 445 B.C. places us at A.D. 30, which would coincide with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-9). The prophecy in Daniel 9 specifies that after the completion of the 483 years, “the Anointed One will be cut off” (verse 26). This was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified.
  • Daniel 9:26 continues with a prediction that, after the Messiah is killed, “the people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.” This was fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. The “ruler who will come” is a reference to the Antichrist, who, it seems, will have some connection with Rome, since it was the Romans who destroyed Jerusalem.

The Final Week of the 70 Weeks

  1. Of the 70 “sevens,” 69 have been fulfilled in history. This leaves one more “seven” yet to be fulfilled.
    • Most scholars believe that we are now living in a huge gap between the 69th week and the 70th week. The prophetic clock has been paused, as it were. The final “seven” of Daniel is what we usually call the tribulation period.
  1. Daniel’s prophecy reveals some actions of the Antichrist, the “ruler who will come.” Verse 27 says, “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’” However, “in the middle of the ‘seven,’ he will set up an abomination that causes desolation” in the temple. Jesus warned of this event in Matthew 24:15. After the Antichrist breaks the covenant with Israel, a time of “great tribulation” begins (Matthew 24:21, New King James Version).
  2. Daniel also predicts that the Antichrist will face judgment. He only rules “until the end that is decreed is poured out on him” (Daniel 9:27). God will only allow evil to go so far, and the judgment the Antichrist will face has already been planned out.

The prophecy of the 70 weeks is complex and detailed There are various interpretations, and most interpretations are unnecessarily convoluted to fit a particular denominational view. However, if you will put biased ‘denominationalism’ aside, and read the prophetic scriptures, first for their plain face-value, then secondly, read them in the context of the entire Bible, an amazingly clear picture emerges. You will find a Pre-Wrath, pre-millennial view. One thing is certain: God has a timetable, and He is keeping things on schedule. God tells us what He has planned from the beginning though the end (Isaiah 46:10), and we should always be looking for the triumphant return of our Lord (Revelation 22:7).

The “Final Week” (Daniel’s Seventieth Week) of the 70 Weeks found in Daniel 9:25, tells us, “So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. 26 “Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. 27 “And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

Remember, the “BIRTH PAINS” is another name for the breaking of the 1st through the 5th Tribulation Seals, which began in AD 1. The “final week” of Daniel’s 70 week, is the 7 years of The Great Tribulation, which will commence with the breaking of the 6th Seal of The Tribulation.

The middle of this final week, (which is 3 1/2 years after the breaking of the 6th Seal), is the Mid-Tribulation point and is found at the blowing of the 7th Trumpet of God’s Wrath.

The flood, found in Daniel 9, verse 26, this time refers to “a flood of people”, that is to say that Jerusalem and her temple would be destroyed again by an overwhelming army. (This occurred in AD 70 with the destruction of the 2nd Temple). This was foreshadowed by the Great Flood in Genesis “A flood” was repeated in the Heavens by the old Dragon and manifest on the earth in the crucifixion of Christ.

NOTE: Verse 26 says, “And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.”  Each of the instances of “A Flood”, thereafter, came devastation. Each time God used “a flood” for the purpose described in Daniel 12:10, “Many will be purged, purified and refined” and made ready for the Kingdom of God.”

CONCLUSION:  The word “flood” is used about 28 times in the Bible. It is used eleven times in the Book of Genesis and refers to God’s Judgment on the world for sin by the Great Flood.

The word “flood” is used twice in the book of Job, either in general terms or symbolically; then, five times in Psalms, once in Proverbs, Isaiah and Nahum, once in Luke. It is used in reference to God’s Judgments, once in Daniel, twice in Matthew, once in Luke once in 2 Peter and once in Revelation. All of these references are related to the End of Days in some way, except for 2 Peter.

But, I want us to focus on the mention of a flood in conjunction with God’s Judgment and the “End of Days” as mentioned, in Daniel 9, Matthew 24 and Revelation 12. This will tell us about God’s plan and your purpose and need for preparation to take part in His Plan,

The Flood and the Coming Judgment

Jesus, in Matthew Chapter 24, gives us an amazing overview of the coming Day of the Lord, the Great Tribulation, the Rapture of the Church and much more.

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND BECAUSE THIS WILL HAPPEN IN A MOMENT AND THERE WILL BE NO SECOND-CHANCES. THE TIME IS UPON US.

The word “flood” is used about 28 times in the Bible. It is used eleven times in the Book of Genesis and refers to God’s Judgment on the world for sin by the Great Flood.

The word “flood” is used either in general terms or symbolically, twice in Job, five times in Psalms, once in Proverbs, Isaiah and Nahum, once in Luke.

It is used in reference to God’s Judgments, once in Daniel, twice in Matthew, once in Luke once in 2 Peter and once in Revelation. All of these references are related to the End of Days in some way, except for 2 Peter.

The Bible mentions a flood in conjunction with God’s Judgment and the “End of Days” as mentioned, in Daniel 9, Matthew 24 and Revelation 12.

Let’s focus on the narrative of a flood in Matthew 24:37 which speaks specifically about the “Flood”, comparing what is past and what coming.

The flood in Matthew 24:37 is a direct reference to the Great Flood of Noah’s day, which “took them all away” who were not safe in the Ark.

Matthew uses the same wording and warnings as found in the Genesis Flood account:

Matthew 24:39, tells us, “and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Verse 40. “Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left.

Verse 41. “Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

Verse 42. “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.

Verse 43. “But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

Verse 44. “For this reason, you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

Verse 45. “Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?

Verse 46. “Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.”

Here is the “takeaway” and what we are to be “so doing when he comes”.

  1. In Noah’s day, although Noah warned them, they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away.
  2. So it will be with the coming of “The Son of Man, which is Jesus. But now we understand the warnings and will have no excuse. Still, if you do not heed the warnings, you will be taken away.
  3. The warning is, “those who are not ready will be left”. They will be left. No excuses and no second chances, not even during the Tribulation.
  4. “Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes:
    • Be on the alert; he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into
    • Be the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time.

This is to be our response. Get Ready and Stay Ready!

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN – Part 10

(You can listen to this study by audio, and you can pause the audio to follow page links, then resume when you are ready. Please note that I use page links in lieu of references or footnotes for important details of this teaching.)

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN– Part 10

John 1:18, “No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.

As if staring into the heavens in search of a celestial body, suspecting it is there, but unable to find any trace of the thing you are straining to see. Then, someone says, “look here’, pointing to the lens of a powerful telescope. And, now you stand amazed, gazing in awe through tear filled eyes, at the glory and majesty.

Mine is a poor and weak illustration, at best.  However, John is telling us, powerfully and in unequivocal terms, No one has seen God at any time.”

There are at least eleven other references in the Bible about ‘the Invisibility of God”. So, why is John repeating what we know? Is it because John is drawing our attention to the powerful Son of God, Who is “the exact representation of God and “is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation?

John is saying, if you want to know God, look upon Jesus!  Hebrews 1:3, tells us that, “He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

John, by saying, “God, the only Son”, that Jesus is God!

Furthermore, John tells us that Jesus, the Son and God, the Father are One! (Also, see John 15)

And, finally, John is reminding us about

  • The surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
  • These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
  • far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
  • And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (See Ephesians 1:19-23)

What does this mean to you and to me?

      1. Jesus is the exact representation of God. If you want to know God, look to Jesus!
      2. Jesus is the image of the invisible God. You can look upon the face of God through Christ and know Him. (Things even angels long to see).
      3. Jesus is the firstborn of all creation.
      4. Jesus is God!
      5. Jesus is One with the Father.
      6. The surpassing greatness of His power is toward us who believe!
      7. Jesus has been raised from the dead and is seated in the heavenlies at the Right Hand of God the Father, interceding for you, this very moment.
      8. Jesus is far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come, and He loves you!
      9. God the Father has put all things in subjection under Jesus’ feet, and has given Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. You are His Church!

This one verse, John 1:18, is too much to take in at one time. I am overwhelmed by God’s majesty and authority and by His love for me. I pray the same for you.

If you ever feel overwhelmed, downcast or beaten, remember this, turn to Him and His Word, and He will strengthen you and save you through all circumstances.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
He guards all his bones;
Not one of them is broken.
Evil shall slay the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous shall be [e]condemned.
The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

Psalms 34:17-22

BIBLE STUDY?

(You can listen to audio of the article and pause the audio to follow page links, then, resume the audio when you are ready. Please note that I use page links in lieu of references or footnotes for important details on this teaching.)

WHY DO YOU “STUDY” THE BIBLE?

I have a few questions to help us get started.  First, what is the Bible? (I’ll wait).

                                                                                                                                                    .

What is “Bible Study” and why study the Bible?

                                                                                                                                                    .

Just one more question:  Try and be honest with yourself.  Why do you study the Bible?

                                                                                                                                                    .

If you do an internet search on the first two questions, you will spend hours, if not days or weeks, reading the responses. The third question is subjective and, although it takes some thought, should be relatively brief and easy to answer. I like simple, so let’s keep this simple and direct, OK?

As an example, simply read Psalms 1:1-3,

Verse 1. “Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,

Nor stand in the path of sinners,

Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

Verse 2. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD,

And on His Law he meditates day and night.

Verse 3. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water,

Which yields its fruit in its season,

And its leaf does not wither; “

And in whatever he does, he prospers.”

What did you get from the reading?

I asked one of my sons, recently, how he was studying the Bible.  He said that he was following a reading plan to “read through the Bible”.  I said that was great, however, I asked him if he would add three elements to his reading;

First, and most importantly, personalize what you read, wherever possible. In other words, read the Bible as if it were written by God, specifically and personally, to you.

Secondly, read it, as much as possible, at “face value”, keeping what you read in the context of the surrounding verses, chapters and of the entire Bible.

Finally, always try to read with an eye, (that is, ‘keep your thinking’), toward the future. In other words, ask yourself, ‘where is this leading me?’.

Now, read Psalms 1:1-3, again, and:

  1. First, personalize the text. Read it as a letter from God, to you. (I am giving an example below here).
  2. Secondly, what does this say at plain ‘face value’?
  3. Thirdly, ask yourself, ‘based on what this says, and if I do this, how will it affect my future’?

Verse 1. “Blessed am I when I do not walk in the counsel of the wicked,

Nor stand in the path of sinners,

Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

Verse 2. But my delight is in the Law of the LORD,

And on His Law I meditate day and night.

Verse 3. I will be like a tree planted by streams of water,

And I will yield fruit in season,

And my leaf will not wither; “

And in whatever I do, I will prosper.”

Now, what did you get from this reading?

(Please be careful not to change the meanings of worlds to suit yourself, just make it personal.)

Practice this and let me know how it goes for you.

Later, I would like to introduce two other ways to go deeper into a personal study of God’s Word:

One, is to learn how to find the meaning of the Greek or Hebrew words used for context, definition and usage;

The other is to practice ‘inductive Bible study techniques’, (I.e., what does it say, what does it mean, and what does it mean to me?).

In closing this section, let’s all remember to

(New American Standard version)

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, men who have gone astray from the truth, claiming that the resurrection has already taken place; and they are jeopardizing the faith of some. Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His;” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to keep away from wickedness.”  (2 Timothy 2:15-9)

NOAH

(You can listen to audio of the article and pause the audio to follow page links, then, resume the audio when you are ready. Please note that I use page links in lieu of references or footnotes for important details on this teaching.)

Books have been written, movies have been made and plays have been created about Noah and The Ark.

Is it true, a legend or a myth?

Once you get past the dramatic effects, the playwright’s imagination, the stage drama, the literary license and production embellishments, there is a Truth to be seen and a lesson to be learned. But, the whole truth will only be found in the Bible.

The Bible gives great detail about Noah, his life, his family and his homeland. We get details about the reasons for the construction of The Ark and even greater detail about The Ark, itself.

We can find many lessons from the account of Noah’s life, his relationship with God, the people of the earth, about God’s intentions for His Own creation, about faith and obedience to God’s Word and the cost of rebelliousness and sin toward God.

But, who would have thought that we could find answers to a 21st Century quandary from an ancient, 4,800-year-old, event?

By all accounts, our twenty-first century world is full of the same “wickedness of man” was which prevalent during Noah’s days. “Every intent of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil, continually”. A careful, prayerful study of God’s Word regarding the Last Days should lead you to see the concurrence of events pointing to the breaking of the breaking of the 6th Seal of the Tribulation judgment and the imminent return of Christ.

Jesus tells of these concurrent events in the twenty-fourth chapter of the book of Matthew and concludes His narration with the warning, “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.“ (Matthew 24:37)

I.  JUST LIKE IN THE DAYS OF NOAH Genesis 6:5, tells us, “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Verse 6. The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. Verse 7. The LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.

a)   There can come a point when sin is so great, that God will blot out all mankind. We may have reached that point, again.

Verse 8. “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God. 10 Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.”

b)   You can find favor with God, and He will consider you as “blameless”.

However, the Bible tells us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and that we can only be made Righteous “by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus”.

Genesis 6:11 “Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. Verse 12. God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. Verse 13.  Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. Verse 14. “Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch.“

c)   God always makes a way of escape for the Righteous.

Genesis 6:18, says, But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark, you and your sons and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. Verse 19. “And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. Verse 20. “Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. Verse 21. “As for you, take for yourself some of all food which is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them.” Verse 22. Thus, Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.”

d)   Prepare to endure to the end, for it is the one who endures to the end who will be saved!

Genesis 7:1 , tells us, “Then the LORD said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all of your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time. Verse 2. “You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female; Verse 3, also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth. Verse 4. “For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.” Verse 5. Noah did according to all that the LORD had commanded him.

e)  Only those God sees as Righteous will be able to enter the Ark of His salvation, which is The New Covenant of His Blood,

II.   OF THAT DAY AND HOUR

“No one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.”  Matthew 24:36

a)   “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.  Matthew 24:37

Verse 38. “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, verse 39, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Verse 40. “Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Verse 41. “Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.”

 b)

Be Ready for His Coming

Matthew 24:42 “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. Verse 43. “But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. Verse 44. “For this reason, you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.”

III.   CHRIST OR JUDGMENT

a)   For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Hebrews 10:26,warns, “For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, verse 27, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. Verse 28. Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Verse 29. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?”

b)   The Christian’s covenant duty, as we wait for Christ’s return, is to ‘endure to the end’ and to ‘overcome evil with good’.

“For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.”  Hebrews 10:30

c)  It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.  (Hebrews 10:31)

d)   Keep your confidence in Christ and on His promises, for you have a need of endurance.

Hebrews 10:32. “But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings, verse 33, partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated. Verse 34. For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and a lasting one. Verse 35. Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. Verse 36. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”

e)   God gives a warning that in these Last Days,

Hebrews 10:37, instructs, “FOR YET IN A VERY LITTLE WHILE,
 HE WHO IS   COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY. Verse 38. “BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL LIVE BY FAITH;
AND IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM.”

IV.   THE PROVING OF YOUR FAITH

The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  Who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (1 Peter 1:3)

        • Verse 4.  to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
        • verse 5. Who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed IN THE LAST TIME.
        • verse 6.  In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, verse 7, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; verse 8, and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
        • verse 9. Obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your soul

a)   DO NOT SHRINK BACK

“But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.”

This, therefore, is how we prepare and conduct ourselves until The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

THE BREATH OF GOD 2

(You can listen to audio of the article and pause the audio to follow page links, then, resume the audio when you are ready. Please note that I use page links in lieu of references or footnotes for important details on this teaching.)

The “Breathed Word”, The ‘Ruah‘, The ‘Pneuma‘ of God.

It has become the practice of Christians, that by telling God what they want or need that they can bring about change or get what they are asking for.  Then, sadly, many prayers go unanswered.

Then, many Christians will act own their own initiative to bring about what they desire, and suffer the consequences.

A careful study of God’s Word will show us that it is God who initiates prayer in a person; it is God who hears those same prayers; it is God who makes us aware of our needs, and it is God who answers those prayers. Then, it is God who moves us to action as a result of those prayers. He is the ‘lamp unto our feet’.

1 John 5:14, tells us, “This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. Verse 15. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.”

1 Peter 1:3, instructs us, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, verse 4, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, verse 5, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

John 15:7, reminds us that, “If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

Now, please read, with me, God’s revealing on this mystery:

John 15:3, says, “You are already clean because of the word (Strong’s concordance #3056 lógos (from 3004 /légō, “speaking to a conclusion”) – a word, being the expression of a thought; a saying. 3056 /lógos (“word”) is preeminently used of Christ (Jn 1:1), expressing the thoughts of the Father through the Spirit.) which I have spoken to you.

Verse 4.  “Remain in Me, and I in you.

      • Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself but must remain in the vine,
      • so neither can you unless you remain in Me.
      • Verse 5.  I am the vine, you are the branches;
      • the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit,
      • for apart from Me you can do nothing.

Verse 6. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

Verse 7.  “If you remain in Me, and

      •  My words (Transliteration: “Rhema“. Phonetic Spelling: (hray’-mah); Definition: a word, by implication a matter; Usage: a thing spoken, (a) a word or saying of any kind, as command, report, promise, (b) a thing, matter, business.).
      • remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

The “word’, Logos, is the expression of a thought used of Christ expressing the thoughts of the Father through the Spirit. (see Strong’s Bible Concordance). It is the breath of God, the Pneuma, (The Spirit).

The “word”, Rhema, is the spoken word or saying.

When you use the “Rhema-Word” in conjunction with the Logos or by expressing the Logos, a thought by Christ, of the Father, through the Holy Spirit, you are BREATHING THE BREATH OF GOD, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

The Bible clearly states that The Bible IS the Word and The Word IS God.

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Verse 2. He was in the beginning with God. Verse 3. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.”

You must know that the Word of God is the breathed Word, The ‘Ruah‘, the ‘Pneuma‘ of God.

Breathe it in and let the Breath of God breathe through you. Consume it and let It consume you.

AND, NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU.  Matthew 17:20

ABRAHAM, BY FAITH – Episode 3

Has a coddled and pampered postmodern Church has produced generations of coddled, pampered, spoiled and rebellious people. The time has come, and is now, that they do not tolerate sound doctrine; always wanting to have their ears tickled, they accumulate teachers in accordance with their own desires, and they turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Are we that generation who calls evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitutes bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Are we that generation who is wise in our own eyes and clever in our own sight!

Who are heroes in drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing intoxicating drink, who declare the wicked innocent for a bribe, and take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!

As a tongue of fire consumes stubble, and dry grass collapses in the flame, so our root will become like rot, and our blossom blow away like dust; for we have rejected the Law of the LORD of armies, and discarded the word of the Holy One of Israel.

For this reason the anger of the LORD is burning against His people, and He has stretched out His hand against us and will strike us. The mountain will quake, and our corpses will lay like refuse in the middle of the streets.

Despite all this, His anger is not, yet all spent, but His hand is still stretched out. (See the prophetic Word of Isaiah, chapter 5)

Now is the time that we return to Him and live not by our selfish and self-centered faith, but, according to the faith shown to us by our fathers of long ago:

Hebrews 11 is our source material, paraphrased and personalized:

Verse 1.  “It must be now that we return to the faith that is the certainty of things expected, the proof of things not yet seen. Verse  2 Now, we must return to the faith that the people of old obtained a good testimony.

Verse 3. Now, we must return to the faith that causes us to understand that the world has been created by the word of God so that what is seen has not been made out of things that are visible.

Verse 4. Now, we must return to the faith that Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he was attested to be righteous, God testifying about his gifts, and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks.

Verse 5. Now, we must return to the faith by which Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; AND HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM UP; for before he was taken up, he was attested to have been pleasing to God.

Verse 6. “We must know that without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.

Verse 7. Now, we must return to the faith that, Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Verse 8. Now, we must return to the faith that Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he left, not knowing where he was going. Verse 9. The faith by which he lived as a stranger in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; Verse 10. for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

Verse 11. Now, we must return to the faith that Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised. Verse 12. Therefore, even from one man, and one who was as good as dead at that, there were born descendants who were just as the stars of heaven in number, and as the innumerable grains of sand along the seashore.

Verse 13. All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen and welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. Verse 14. For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. Verse 15. And indeed, if they had been thinking of that country which they left, they would have had opportunity to return. Verse 16. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.

Verse 17. “The faith by which Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and the one who had received the promises was offering up his only son; Verse 18. it was he to whom it was said, “THROUGH ISAAC YOUR DESCENDANTS SHALL BE NAMED.” Verse 19. He considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received him back as a type.

Verse 20. The faith by which Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even regarding things to come.

Verse 21. The faith by which  Jacob, as he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.

Verse 22. The faith by which Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the exodus of the sons of Israel, and gave orders concerning his bones.

Verse 23. The faith by which Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

Verse 24. The faith by which Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, Verse 25, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the temporary pleasures of sin, Verse 26, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. Verse 27. The faith by which he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he persevered, as though seeing Him who is unseen. Verse 28. The faith by which, he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch them. Verse 29. The faith by which they passed through the Red Sea as through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were drowned.

Verse 30. The faith by which the walls of Jericho fell down after the Israelites had marched around them for seven days. Verse 31. The faith by which the prostitute Rahab did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she had welcomed the spies in peace.

Verse 32. And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets, Verse 33, The faith by which they conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, Verse 34, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Verse 35. The faith by which women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection; Verse 36, the faith by which others experienced mocking and flogging, and further, chains and imprisonment. Verse 37. The faith by which they were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tested, they were put to death with the sword; The faith by which they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented Verse 38, (people of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts, on mountains, and sheltering in caves and holes in the ground.

Verse 39. And all these, having gained approval, a good testimony through their faith, did not receive what was promised, Verse 40, because God had provided something better for those who would follow, so that along with them, we will be made perfect through Christ.

What more is to be said? The “Day of the Lord” is at hand. Be ready!

Thus says the Lord. Amen and Amen!

The following chapters in this series are Biblical teaching on the exercising of your faith and the outcomes. This is not just for reading, but, for you and me to learn to exercise our faith and to see these outcomes in our own lives.

EMMANUEL

(You can listen to this study by audio, and you can pause the audio to follow page links, then resume when you are ready. Please note that I use page links in lieu of references or footnotes for important details of this teaching.)

“God with us”, Emmanuel, a name of Christ. Emmanuel, a Messianic title derived from Isaiah 7:14 = God with us.

The name “Emmanuel” gives us images and thoughts of Christmas and rarely takes us any further in our thinking. But, God came and dwelt among us and the greatest of mysteries began to unfold:

He came and dwelt among us; He was crucified and died and was raised up to life on the third day; He ascended into heaven; But, He is still among us.

Matthew 1:23, “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN WILL CONCEIVE AND GIVE BIRTH TO A SON, AND THEY SHALL NAME HIM IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.”

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Verse 14. “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

A MYSTERY

God came to earth, and dwelt among us.

THE MYSTERY DEEPENS

John 14:19 “After a little while, the world no longer is going to see Me, but you are going to see Me; because I live, you also will live. Verse 20. On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I in you.

THE ASCENSION

Acts 1:7 “But He said to them, “It is not for you to know periods of time or appointed times which the Father has set by His own authority; verse 8, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

Verse 9. “And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight. Verse 10. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, verse 11, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

HE WAS, HE IS, HE ALWAYS SHALL BE

John 17:21 that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

THE MYSTERY APPLIED

Although Jesus came to us and dwelt among us, died and was resurrected, ascended into heaven and is coming again, He remains with us, that is, He is in us, still.

John 14:12, “Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I am going to the Father. Verse 13. And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Verse 14. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

Verse 15. “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Verse 16. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever; Verse 17, the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you.

YOU ARE NO LONGER YOUR OWN

1 Corinthians 6:19, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST

2 Corinthians 5:20, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us.

Presbeúō: To “act as an ambassador”; means to act as an established statesman, a diplomat, a trusted, respected ambassador who is authorized to speak as God’s emissary; one ho represents His kingdom.

This term is used in the ancient phrase, “I am on embassy to the Emperor, I am an ambassador, (Souter), i.e. as someone respected as trustworthy, loyal and knowledgeable, especially in the opinion of those they know.

Now, you know. But, knowledge without application is just idle information, and idle information is like salt which has become tasteless. How can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.

James 1:22, tells us, “So, prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves. Verse 23. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; verse 24, for once he has looked at himself and gone away, [w]he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. Verse 25. But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.
