Do you hear Him? He is calling…
Listen. Do you hear It? Do you hear Him?
He’s calling! God, that is.
God is calling.
But, only those “with ears to hear” can hear Him.
Many will think the foregoing remark sounds a bit nutty. But, it is what the Bible says. The call is loud and clear.
But, some cannot hear. Some will not hear.
But, for those who WOULD hear, could we be reawakened to the call of God in our personal lives?
I know many friends who love the Lord and try to walk with Him.
Still, their daily lives are filled with loneliness, fear, worry, resentment and doubt.
Betty and I invite friends to our house, and often, if “one certain friend” discovers that “another certain friend” will be coming to our gathering, they decline our invitation because the other person has offended them at some time. So, we continue life, alone, or in a small circle.
And this is not an isolated event. It is all too common.
We invite Christian friends and acquaintances to join us in a small in-home fellowship and bible study, and they decline because they are “uncomfortable” not knowing who will be present – ahead of time.
Still, God is calling. I hear Him. Can you hear Him?
Jesus came to us and spoke … saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Do I sound crazy? If you said “yes” in your mind, then, good! You’re listening and thinking!
But I am not crazy.
Because, He has said the same to all Christians for all the ages.
Read Matthew 28:18-20. And He is still speaking. (His Word is Eternal)
We must get on with His Calling. He is calling and He is coming, again.
The time will come and is coming, when we will be face-to-face with our Lord and we shall be faced with this question: “Have you done what I asked?”
Jesus has said,
“Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
Luke 6:46
“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:22-24
You can hear Him if you want to hear Him. He is calling.
