The Secret Place

¶ He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 1 (Psalms 91:1)

This Psalm is widely know as the “Psalm of Protection”. But it, in Truth, it is much, much more.

Psalms 91 is one of the Bible’s greatest secrets of the Bible, revealed. An oracle, properly understood, it is a key, not only to finding God’s greatest Gift of Salvation, but it is the pathway and a portal into the very Presence of God.

This is The Place. The Secret Place, where you

  • Enter the Kingdom of God

  • See the Kingdom of God, and

  • Walk in the Kingdom of God

  • Stand in the Presence of God

John 3:16 may be one of the most quoted Bible verses, but understanding and practicing Psalms 91:1 is John 3:16 put into action.

This cannot be overstated:

The person who “finds and dwells” in The Secret Place of God will have found The Hiding Place, The Tabernacle of God, and you can now dwell in the very Presence of God Almighty – even, at this very moment.

2 … say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”

3 … it is He who delivers me from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover me with His pinions, And under His wings I may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

5 I will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; (6) Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.

7 A thousand may fall at my side And ten thousand at my right hand, But it shall not approach me.

8 I will only look on with my eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.

9 ¶ For I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, my dwelling place.

10 No evil will befall me, Nor will any plague come near my tent.

11 For God will give His angels charge concerning me, To guard me in all my ways.

12 They will bear you up in their hands, That I do not strike my foot against a stone.

13 I will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent I will trample down.

(At this point, you are no longer speaking about God, but, now God is speaking to you and about you)

14 “Because ___________________ has loved Me (God), therefore I (God) will deliver

(Your name here)

________________; I (God) will set _______________securely on high, because

_______________ has known My name.

(Your name here)

15 “________________ will call upon Me (God), and I (God) will answer

_________________; I (God) will be with __________________ in trouble; I will

rescue __________________ and honor him.

16 “With a long life I (God) will satisfy _______________ And let ________________

see My salvation.”

(Note: I have personalized these verses by replacing third person pronouns with first person pronouns)

Now…

Call out to God and abide in Him, right now. This very moment, dwell with Him and dwell upon Him.

Do this all day, today.

Dwell.

Meditate on these verses. Mediate on Jehovah, your God, until you find yourself

truly abiding

under the Shadow of the Almighty.
