Hope in the face of fear

– Palm Sunday –

VICTORY, PEACE, ETERNAL LIFE

Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9), when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday.

The palm branch is a symbol of victory, triumph, peace, and eternal life originating in the ancient Near East and Mediterranean world. … A palm branch was awarded to victorious athletes in ancient Greece, and a palm frond or the tree itself is one of the most common attributes of Victory personified in ancient Rome.

Let’s say it together, as the Apostle Paul says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; 8in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7

2 Timothy 4:18 “The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Celebrate!

We all are inundated with news about the Coronavirus ( CORVID-19). Fear and panic has set in many people’s lives. I hear some attempts to encourage us, but, most are three line platitudes or oft used Scripture verses. All of which are good, but The Gospel of Jesus is The message with power to help and give hope.

The message of The Gospel of Jesus Christ directly confronts this latest pandemic and what you and I can do to navigate these fears.

  • Be encouraged

  • Be full of Hope

  • Celebrate the Victorious Entry of our Lord and it will

    • Help you physically

    • Help you mentally

    • Help you emotionally

    • Help you Spiritually

Be healthy, be blessed, be a blessing to others!

Your Brother and Friend,

Mike Young
